The doughnuts that are cooked in front of you on the pier or at funfairs are something else, especially if eaten straight away when hot

The little kiosk overlooking the beach to the west of the Palace Pier makes good doughnuts - sometimes with a 3 for 2 offer.
And a good view of the goings on on aforementioned strand.
