Just in my opinion (but almost definitely also the club’s), a loan should be about a mutual fit based on the player’s level of development (ability), their personality (humans being different; not all business owners/actors/footballers/teachers/doctors/builders share one personality simply...
This is quite possible. I actually posted about James a few months ago - he notably once threw up on the pitch before a game at the Amex and has done so several times with other clubs. His nerves are said to be a big issue, unfortunately.
I’ll be honest, I’ve only seen a couple of Hull City games this season on telly! But we all know how hard the Championship is. I think we can both agree Connolly’s next move is huge for the direction of his career.
He did you’re absolutely right, his replacements have done well effectively keeping him out of the squad, but still that kind of shows where he’s at just now. I.e not being picked for far from one of the top sides in the second tier, even on the bench when fit and available.
Again, not meaning...
Unfortunately another negative for Aaron - and one a great many of us saw coming. Talented and promising footballers can sometimes not progress for so many reasons - injuries killing their pace/confidence, lack of discipline/ambition/professionalism, personal demons/depression/addiction…
And...
Each to their own. Some lads (and lasses) I know with tattoos are the nicest people in the world, some are dickheads. Some clean-cut privately educated people I know are legends, some are tossers.
I think it’s very unlikely we’ll see him play again for the Albion. It’s all very unfortunate for everyone, but my loyalty is with the club, not Aaron, and back whatever the club decides.
I think he potentially has a future in the professional game. The thing is it’s going to be a slow slide down the leagues until he finds his “level”. Sad to see, but the guy really doesn’t help himself.
There is always the danger and very rea possibility that he’s actually just a bit ****. Lots of talk of attitude this, girlfriend that. But maybe he’s just not a great footballer.
He was terrific in PL2, but I was phenomenal at U-10s. Once puberty hit and everyone doubled in size except me, I...
Would be a good move for all concerned, would rather a loan because the lad could yet come good and it’d be a pittance fee for a transfer anyway. Wishing him all the best - if he knocks in 25+ goals give him a look again next pre-season.
