You're very blinkered. You've made your mind up (based somewhat on your own perceived slights in life) and then decided to support AC against the masses who you've arbitrarily decided are influenced by a (terrible) newspaper that apparently we all read (I buy it sometimes if there is a free £5...
Murray is a smart cookie, has a real football brain and I disagree - he had natural talent. AC just hasn't kicked on, some natural talent but not the football brains or the graft. He's still earnt a mint though, can't knock that.
I'm disappointed that G Pott couldn't get a tune out of him. Wilder appears a different type of straight-talkin' manager and it appears he can't get a tune out of him either. Maybe he needs to find the "right kind" of manager to change his ways because without that he doesn't seem to have the...
I was hoping that Chris Wilder might be a good manager for him being Northern and Straight Talking, although wary that Ryan Brewster hadn't flourished under him. Seems not.
Agree with most that I am just a bit tired of reading about his off field antics and nothing, at all, about any on field...
Football is all about sticking it to people so I really hope Connolly can do some business at Boro. Wilder didn't get much out of Brewster, let's hope he can get more out of our lad.
While I've never taken to Connolly I hope his luck and form improves at Boro - and agree all the bumping of this thread to have a dig at him is rather distasteful.
You make some interesting points, some I agree with.
Emotional resilience and / or mental health problems? mixed together but not always the same thing imo.
I don't think we'll see him in the stripes again. If he doesn't do well then he'll come back and be sold to a lower Championship or League One team. If he does well for them then he'll want to stay and not come back to the haters here.
