Similar here, as my wife's an ex chef, we mainly eat home cooked food.
Fresh ingredients from the allotment help, but only what's in season.
As you say, you wouldn't know if gluten free or not.
A week before we left, I emailed the hotel about my my wife's requirements, re-gluten.
They replied same day and confirmed they would have no problems catering for her.
Might be an idea emailing yr hotel.

The only decent thing going for Shepherds Bush, is the empire for live music.
That's all I go there for these days and the occasional trip to Westfield.
Oh and yes sometimes to watch QPR via my local charity (QPR mate).
